Omega 3 contains two essential fatty acid, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) which have been shown to support a healthy heart and brain function. Furthermore, they can reduce blood fatty acid levels to support weight control and fat loss. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and helps to protect cells against harmful free radicals which are produced as a result of intense exercise.
Omega 3 is naturally found in oily fish, however modern day diets are low in Omega 3 and therefore a fish oil supplement is recommended.
